About Local Solutions
Local Solutions is a charity that, since 1974, has been generating and delivering services to support individuals, families and communities with a primary focus on those experiencing disadvantage, exclusion and vulnerability. Our mission is to build resilience, raise aspiration and improve lives by delivering a range of services, which aim to engage with the hardest to reach and most vulnerable in society, enabling them to overcome barriers and enhancing the quality of their lives. We employ more than 1,000 people, primarily in Merseyside and North Wales, and we provide services for up to 70,000 people a year.
Our current delivery includes:
- Accommodation and peripatetic support for young people and families who are homeless, vulnerable, marginalized, not in education, employment or training, or lack skills and personal resources.
- Social care, health and wellbeing: personal and support services for people who are older, are affected by physical and mental health issues, have mobility problems, or have disabilities and for those who provide unpaid care for others.
- Inclusive services to support people who are affected by poverty, debt, unemployment, welfare reliance, mobility issues, a lack of skills, domestic abuse and those excluded from the mainstream.
