About Big Help Project
The Big Help Project was established in 2011, with a single Foodbank centre in Kirkby, Knowsley. Our Foodbank service now covers the whole of Knowsley via nine distribution centres, feeding over 7,000 people each year. Whilst the work of the Foodbank is vital, we understand that our emergency food packages only meet a short term need. Our passion is to help people out of financial crisis for good, and we believe that a key factor in this is getting people into employment and training. Our Next Steps service opened in 2013, and has helped almost 100 people into employment and a further 130 into training opportunities. We offer free, bespoke, one-to-one support to help people on their journey, and are passionate about empowering people to regain control of their lives and reach their full potential. We work with a range of partners and employers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients, and our Case Workers offer expert advice and guidance each step of the way.
