Anthony aged 21 secured work with Electron Technical Solutions, Runcorn after turning his life around with the support of the Working Futures programme delivered by Power in Partnership, Windmill Hill.
He lived in a hostel and had had no luck trying to find work, when he was introduced to the programme by Sharon Thornton at Power in Partnership.
Working Futures was able to offer him a range of one-to-one support including working with other organisations and help to apply for a grant for household items.
Anthony also successfully completed units of NCFE Employability qualification, updated his CV and participated in interview role play sessions. This gave him the confidence to complete a work placement and develop new skills in construction, painting and decorating and ground work.
“Working futures really helped to motivate me, develop my skills and find a job. I love having my own place and being able to buy furniture using money that I’ve earned myself.”
